This hot beverage is a great substitute for those tasteless and unhealthy commercial powder varieties. It is also an easy way to get a serving from the Milk and Milk Products food group.
- 2 tbsp hot water
- 1 tbsp cocoa
- 1 cup warm 1% milk or soy milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp sugar or sugar substitute
- Dissolve the cocoa in the hot water. Add the remaining 3 ingredients. Stir.
Makes 1 serving.
